The moment of taking a picture, the voyeur that everyone becomes while gazing at it have built today’s minds, images and stereotypes are everywhere, why is the body so important in art history,
The body, the mind and the soul is all very connected
The body is the house of the self, the dwelling of the soul. However, the body can also be our prison and our burden and that’s the power that she evokes in her images, we get both a sense of imprisonment and freedom, this feeling of isolation. In between the I and my body is a gap filled with riddles and secrets, darknesses and promise. Out of that gap or incision, or wound, grow songs and stories, religions, dreams, and discoveries.
